Straightforward claims are resolved more quickly, however complex claims can take longer.<\/p><p><strong>Does it matter where the incident took place?<\/strong><br \/>Yes \u2013 the crime must have occurred in England, Wales, or Scotland.<\/p><p><strong>Must the police have been informed?<\/strong><br \/>Yes \u2013 you must have reported the crime to the police for your claim to be valid.<\/p><p><strong>Does my attacker need to be convicted?<\/strong><br \/>No \u2013 a conviction is not required.
